Hand Forged Samurai Tanto

This exceptional Tanto marks one of our higher end types of knife. This one is hand forged from medium carbon steel and measures an exceptional 6mm thick at the spine.

It includes 2 fullers (Japanese Bo-Hi) which contrary to popular believe have nothing to do with blood and an aesthetic wire brushed Hamon line. This knife comes with a wooden black laqured sheath (saya) and represents fantastic value for money.

The 'Tsuka' or handle is made in traditional style, a primary layer of white Rayskin overwrapped with leather to provide grip during use. The full tang of the blade is then double pinned with bamboo pegs into the handle to provide strength and security. This is a fantastic entry into the world of Japanese blades.
