The KI4419A2 is a light-weight and ultra strong pocket knife. The luxurious packaging and the included pouch are a sight for sore eyes among many less well thought through designs. The included cleaning cloth is also very practical as it can attract fingerprints if not properly cared for!
The blade is made from CPM SV35VN and is razor-sharp upon delivery. This type of steel is powder metallurgical and can easily be sharpened razor-sharp, then kept that way with a basic stropping procedure every so often. The tough stonewashed finish on the blade masks any traces of use as well as reducing reflectivity and providing an excellent contrast with the bright blue scales. Thanks to the thin aluminium frame the knife weighs next to nothing too, making it practical for long periods of use. The steel liners add strength to the frame despite the weight and provide the locking mechanism - a linerlock.
The jimping on the spine of the blade and the stunning 'sunburst' pattern on the handle provide you with a secure grip. Both sides of the blade are enhanced with thumb studs you can use to easily open the blade.
