The Cager 1420 model features a tanto blade with a straight cutting edge, a satin finish and excellent penetrating abilities. The knife is quite compact and easy to carry, especially considering its intended purpose and stout design. The Cager may be discretely and comfortably carried in a way that best suits your setting or style (where legal).
Satin finish is one of the most effective and brutal metal treatments available. The blade surface is covered with small unidirectional strokes forming a uniform pattern. The blade has a matte finish but reflects direct sunlight. An added benefit is that most minor wear and scratches from regular use are unnoticeable with the satin finish.
G10 is one of the most popular materials used to manufacture knife handles. It has excellent strength properties. It is also non-flammable, non-conductive and has excellent moisture resistance. G10 glass fiber laminate is based on epoxy resins and fiberglass. Visually G10 has a pronounced fibrous structure.
Kydex, a material initially used in the aviation industry, has become a staple material in the manufacture of knife sheaths. Kydex is sturdy, durable, lightweight, heat-resistant, and waterproof. This acrylic-based thermoplastic polyvinyl chloride has a high hardness.
